Earlier today, depending on your perspective, Nancy Pelosi proved she’s either ridiculously gullible (What, an insitution whose job it is to operate under cover of lies actually lied to you? Who’dathunkit?) or a pandering liar herself (her base is gullible enough to think she actually gives a fuck about what the U.S. does abroad, and keeping up that appearance does help politically). Norah O’Donnell, discussing this story, questioned what this meant institutionally for the internal self-regulation of political power to so obviously fail like that.
Nah, I’m joking. She said it was weird that such a charge came out at all, spewing “I mean, this is a WAR going on, right?”. Yeah Norah, wouldn’t want the commoners to trouble themselves with such thoughts as the hypocrisy of American exceptionalism and how much of a clusterfuck government is in practice. Just turn off all those cameras, shut off the microphones, and just go back to sleep, Big Brother’ll wake you when the bombings and beatings stop.
