The Hidden Dictator’s Money email scam. If you’ve been living under a rock, how it works is that someone sends an email claiming to be affiliated with a regime in Africa that hid a crapload of money overseas. They say they need YOUR help to retrieve it, and will give you part of the loot… if only you’ll either a) front them some money since their assets are frozen or b) give them your bank account info. Obviously if you do either, you’re an idiot.
